Italian DP: 'We’re in a good spot' to make the playoffs

Last weekend’s home win over Austin FC was a much-needed result for a Toronto FC side that finds itself in the thick of a vert tight playoff race as the MLS regular season enters the home stretch.  

The victory allowed Toronto (11-15-3, 36 points) to keep hold of eighth place in the Eastern Conference, and to move to within two points of seventh-place Charlotte FC and three points clear of D.C. United. But the battle is far from over. The seven teams directly below Toronto in the table are all within nine points and five of them have at least a game in hand.
