Canada dominates United States in friendly win
The Canadians on Saturday earned their first victory over their closest neighbours on American soil for the first time since 1957.

It was a victory that was more than 67 years in the making for the Canadian men’s team.
Canada completely bossed the United States in a 2-1 win in Saturday’s international friendly at Kansas City's Children's Mercy Park, as Les Rouges continued to build upon their historic showing at the Copa América.
Jacob Shaffelburg and Jonathan David scored for Canada who earned its first victory over the U.S. on American soil since a 3-2 decision in a World Cup qualifier in St. Louis in July, 1957.
Saturday was Canada’s first match since its semifinal run at the Copa América in the summer. The Canadians climbed eight spots to 40th in the current FIFA world rankings on the back of that performance but they are still well behind the U.S. (No. 16).
