State of the Union: Toronto FC more than just stuck in a rut
TFC keeps finding ways to throw away points and being unable to finish off opponents, problems that have plagued them since last summer.
Bob Bradley offered a sobering view on the current situation at Toronto FC after its 0-0 draw vs. Nashville SC at BMO Field on the weekend.
“We're in a rut, you know? We're in a rut where when you need a play, when you need maybe luck, something that just helps a group field three points,” Bradley said in the post-match news conference.
It goes beyond TFC just being stuck in a rut, though. The team keeps finding ways to throw away points and being unable to finish off opponents, problems that have plagued them since last summer.
Toronto has blown a second-half lead three times in the last five matches, and it continues to struggle on the attacking end. And things are only going to get more difficult after this bye week, as the Reds face a stretch of games until mid-July that could make or break their season.
In the latest video blog, I discuss the current state of the union at Toronto FC.
