Ex-TFC forward Jordan Hamilton set for CPL Final with Forge FC
Jordan Hamilton knows a thing or two about winning trophies.
As a member of Toronto FC from 2014 to 2019, the native of Scarborough, Ont., played a starring role in the Reds’ 2016 Canadian Championship run by scoring a brace in the semifinals against the Montreal Impact. Hamilton was also a part of the TFC side that lifted the MLS Cup, and repeated as the Canadian Championship winners in 2017 and 2018.
The former TFC forward now has a chance to add more championship titles to his resume as a member of Forge FC, who’ll meet Atlético Ottawa in Sunday’s CPL Final at TD Place Stadium. It’s a battle of the top two teams from the regular season, with Forge looking to win its third North Star Shield in four years after beating Cavalry FC over two legs in the semifinals.
