GM Ali Curtis didn't provide a definitive answer after being peppered with repeated questions from reporters about TFC's out-of-favour forward during a Zoom call on Monday afternoon, saying the situation is “complicated" with "some layers" to it.
But the fact that Altidore, 31, continues to train on his own, casts a major doubt over his future with TFC. Altidore’s contract, which he signed prior to the 2019 MLS season, is guaranteed through 2022.
