Toronto FC limps along in frustration, but still focused on task at hand
Alex Bono cut a despondent figure after TFC's loss to Orlando. But the Reds appear as committed as ever to Bob Bradley's rebuilding process.
Alex Bono limped into the press conference room in the bowels of BMO Field on Saturday to face the media with an ice pack wrapped around one leg.
It was a scene that perfectly encapsulated the state of Toronto FC at the moment: a franchise that is limping along.
TFC looked well on their way to earning a valuable point and registering their first clean sheet of the season over the weekend, having played visitors Orlando City evenly through 90 minutes of regulation. But a series of errors and some slack defending deep into injury time resulted in substitute Kyle Smith scoring on a glancing header off a corner kick to send the Reds to their fifth consecutive loss.
