Toronto FC faces burning questions as training camp kicks off
The rebuilding of TFC's roster remains a work in process. As such, there remain a number of important questions left to be answered.
It’s been an incredibly busy off-season so far for Toronto FC, highlighted by the landmark signing of Italian international Lorenzo Insigne from Serie A’s Napoli, the sale of Richie Laryea to Nottingham Forest, and the departure of Dom Dwyer via an unusual trade.
Now the hard work begins for new coach and sporting director Bob Bradley after TFC officially opened pre-season training camp earlier this week by heading to California. The Reds will also convene in Texas later on this winter as part of their preparations for the 2022 MLS campaign.
While Toronto has started training camp, the rebuilding of the roster remains a work in process. As such, there remain a number of important questions about the team ahead of its season opener on Feb. 26 away to FC Dallas.
