- TFC earn their first win in league play since April 16

TORONTO – This was the Alejandro Pozuelo that Toronto FC has been waiting on all season.
Having looked far from his best this year, the Spaniard came up with a big performance on Saturday night, bagging a brace to lift TFC to a come-from-behind 3-2 win over the Chicago Fire before an announced crowd of 25,906 fans at BMO Field.
The former league MVP showed no signs of rust after missing the Reds' last three games in all competitions with a lower body injury. This was the first time he had scored twice in a match since a 2-1 playoff win over New York City FC on Oct. 23, 2019.
Deandre Kerr also scored on Saturday for Toronto (4-7-3), who snapped a six-match winless skid (with five losses) in league play and earned its first victory since April 16.
