You could forgive Toronto FC if it forgot what a win felt like.
Last week's 1-1 draw against the Columbus Crew extended TFC's winless run to nine consecutive matches (six losses), with their previous victory coming in a 2-0 decision over Charlotte FC on Aug. 27, 2022. That was also the Reds' last clean sheet.
With just two points from the first three games of the 2023 season, TFC doesn't have to hit the panic button as there's plenty of soccer still left to play this year. But there is a growing sense amongst fans and media that the club is in desperate need of a victory in order to start to turn things around.
