Academy grad Luca Petrasso looks to make a splash with Toronto FC
In a 1-on-1 interview, Petrasso talks about his journey to get into TFC's first team, his time playing under Danny Dichio in the academy, and much more.
For Luca Petrasso, the path he took to get into Toronto FC's first team was long and hard.
Having started out in the youth academy at age 12 in 2013, he slowly worked his way up the system, catching on with TFC 2 where he spent the past four seasons, appearing in 63 matches and scoring three goals.
Finally last month, Petrasso, a 21-year-old from Toronto, saw his childhood dream fulfilled when he signed his first MLS contract with the Reds. In doing so, he became the 27th player in club history to sign with the first team from the youth academy.
In this one-on-one chat with TFC Republic, Petrasso talks about the journey he took to get to the first team, his time playing under Danny Dichio in the academy, how Bob Bradley's style fits well with his skill set, and much more.
