Toronto FC vs. Real Salt Lake: 3 takeaways
The state of Utah has been a place where Toronto FC’s hopes of victory have gone to die.
Only once in franchise history have TFC defeated Real Salt Lake on the road, and that was way back in 2007 during the club’s inaugural MLS season. Since then, the Reds have gone winless in 10 games (two draws) in the “Mormon State.”
But Saturday’s 2-2 draw in Salt Lake had to feel somewhat like a victory for Toronto, considering it twice came back from a goal down and left town with a point in tow thanks to a pair of spectacular goals from two of their teenagers.
Here are my three major takeaways from the game.
