Toronto FC vs. Real Salt Lake: 3 takeaways
Changing coaches didn't have the immediate desired effect for Toronto FC on Canada Day.
In their first game under interim coach Terry Dunfield following Bob Bradley's dismal earlier in the week, TFC extended their winless streak to six consecutive matches with a disappointing 1-0 defeat to Real Salt Lake at BMO Field. A draw seemed to be on the cards for TFC before they conceded in injury time as they suffered their third consecutive loss.
Toronto (3-8-10) remains in second-last place in the Eastern Conference, five spots and seven points out of a playoff berth. The Reds' last victory came on May 27 in a 2-1 home decision over D.C. United.
Here are my three major takeaways from Saturday's match.
