Toronto FC winless in five after road loss vs. Revolution
TFC took an early lead in New England on Saturday but once again they couldn’t see things out.
- Toronto FC 1 (Kerr 11’), New England Revolution 2 (Wood 33’; Vrioni 52')
- TFC still looking for their 1st road win since last August
- Federico Bernardeschi subbed out at start of second half
It was the same old story from Toronto FC on Saturday night.
TFC took an early lead and bossed the match early on before slowly fading away and limping along en route to suffering a 2-1 loss to the New England Revolution at Gillette Stadium.
Deandre Kerr scored for Toronto (3-7-10), who have lost two straight and are winless in five, and has just one victory in its last 10 MLS contests. The Reds have taken just four out of a possible 30 points on the road this season, and haven’t won away from BMO Field since earning a 2-0 decision vs. Charlotte FC last August.
Once again, Italian DP Federico Bernardeschi failed to make an impression and was subbed out after 45 minutes as he was suffering from back pain and couldn't continue on, according to coach Bob Bradley. The former Juventus star has now gone without a goal in 14 games in all competitions for Toronto. The last time he scored was on April 1.
