Free agent decisions loom for TFC at the end of the season
Among the things on Jason Hernandez's to-do list this off-season is deciding if Víctor Vázquez, CJ Sapong and Greg Ranjitsingh should come back next season.
With Toronto FC sitting 13 points out of a playoff spot with only nine games left in the MLS season, new GM Jason Hernandez is no doubt already starting to think about the roster rebuilding project that he has to tackle this winter.
While a lot of TFC players are locked in after signing long-term deals, others will either be out of contract or enter the option year of their contracts in 2024. Notably, three of those players will be potentially be available for unrestricted free agency at the end of the 2023 campaign.
Let's look at those players who could be free to leave TFC at the end of this season and evaluate whether Hernandez should re-up them or allow them to walk away.
