The transaction tracker at TFC Republic is a special feature where we will list all of the roster additions and cuts, trades, signings and re-signings, and transfers made by Toronto FC, and examine what each move means for the club moving forward.

It's a great way to keep tabs on what Toronto FC is doing and how it's building its roster, as we look at each transaction in a bit of detail.

Jan. 20, 2025: Toronto extends goalkeeper through 2027  

Toronto FC re-signs goalkeeper Luka Gavran to a new contract through 2027 with a club option for 2028.

Jan. 16, 2025: Spaniard gets new deal with Toronto FC 

Toronto FC re-signs midfielder Alonso Coello to a new contract through 2027 with a club option for 2028.

Jan. 14, 2025: Canadian loaned to Toronto from Granada 

Toronto FC has acquired Theo Corbeanu from Spanish side Granada CF on loan for the duration of the 2025 MLS season, with an option to purchase.

Jan. 13, 2025: TFC sell off Brazilian to Japanese club

Toronto FC has agreed to transfer winger Thiago Andrade to Cerezo Osaka of the J1 League (Japan's First Division).

Toronto FC sold the Brazilian winger to Japanese club Cerezo Osaka a month after acquiring him in a trade with NYCFC.

Jan. 13, 2025: Reds receive GAM in trade with CF Montreal

Toronto FC acquired $175,000 US in 2025 and 2026 general allocation money ($100,000 in 2025 GAM and $75,000 in 2026 GAM) from CF Montreal in exchange for the "right of first refusal" for forward Prince Owusu. TFC can receive up to an additional $75,000 in conditional GAM from Montreal if certain performance metrics are met. Montreal signed Owusu to a two-year contract in 2025 and 2026, including an option year for 2027, using targeted allocation money (TAM).

Dec. 20, 2024: Reds trades, then selects Reid Fisher at No. 23

Toronto FC traded $50,000 in 2025 general allocation money and an additional $50,000 in conditional GAM to D.C. United. In return, TFC received a first-round pick (No. 23), which they used to select San Diego State defender Reid Fisher, a sophomore. In the second round, Toronto used the No. 39 pick to select University of Pittsburgh midfielder Michael Sullivan, a senior. In the third round, Toronto used the No. 69 pick on University of Dayton midfielder Joseph Quiah, a junior.

Toronto FC acquired a first-round pick in a trade with D.C. United and used it to select defender Reid Fisher from San Diego State.

December 11, 2024: TFC trades for Thiago Andrade

San Diego FC, who’ll join MLS as its 30th team in 2025, used its fourth selection in the Expansion Draft to select Brazilian winger Thiago Andrade from New York City FC.

San Diego then flipped Andrade to Toronto in a trade that saw the Reds give up their first-round pick (ninth overall) in the 2025 MLS SuperDraft and an additional $250,000 US in conditional general allocation money (GAM) in future years if certain performance-based metrics are met. San Diego also retains a percentage of a future transfer fee if Toronto sells Andrade to a non-MLS club.

November 27, 2024: Owusu, Singh won't be back in 2025  

Toronto FC declined its 2025 contract options on forward Prince Owusu and defender Luke Singh.

Toronto FC announced on Wednesday it had declined its 2025 contract options on forward Prince Owusu and defender Luke Singh.

October 28, 2024: End of season roster decisions 

Toronto FC declined its 2025 contract options for goalkeeper Greg Ranjitsingh, defenders Aimé Mabika and Shane O'Neill; and midfielder Brandon Servania. GM Jason Hernandez said that conversations are ongoing with some of those players about possibly being re-signed to new deals ahead of the 2025 MLS season.

Toronto picked up its contract options for goalkeeper Luka Gavran; defenders Kobe Franklin and Kevin Long; midfielders Alonso Coello and Kosi Thompson; and forwards Deandre Kerr and Tyrese Spicer. That means these players will return for TFC next season.

TFC have until the MLS deadline of Nov. 27 to exercise or decline the 2025 contract options for defender Luke Singh, currently on loan at the CPL's Atlético Ottawa, and forward Prince Owusu.
